Cinnamon Glaze!

Here's a yummy new recipe to top french toast with.  I don't go by an exact recipe, but here's about what I use:

3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 a stick of butter
1 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. water (depending on how runny/thick you want it)
2 tsp. cinnamon

Modify as you like!

Melt the butter in a pan over the stove top and add the rest of the ingredients and stir! It is done when it starts a tiny boil (just barely).

Serve over french toast and enjoy!

Candy!

One of my favorite candies which seems to be a more rare candy is Charleston Chews!  They are actually really yummy! They are little mini vanilla nougats with a chocolate coating. The middle tastes kind of like a marshmallow, or vanilla taffy. Give them a try and let me know what you think of them. Also comment and share your favorite candy!

Berry Lemon Tart-

Just made this and it is amazing! I also had a lot of fun making it, so hope you enjoy!

Recipe-

Crust Ingredients:
-1/4 cup softened butter
-1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon shredded lemon peel (if you would rather, I used a little lemon juice instead)
-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
-1/2 teaspoon vanilla
-1/8 teaspoon (pinch) of salt
-1 egg white
-1 1/4 cups flour

Lemon Cream Ingredients:
-3/4 cup tub cream cheese-softened
-2 Tablespoons powdered sugar
-1 teaspoon shredded lemon (again, if you'd prefer, I use Lemon juice also)
-1/2 cup thick plain nonfat Greek yogurt

To Top Tart with- Blackberries, Kiwi, Raspberries, Strawberries.
It's really up to you how much/what kind of fruit you would like to use

1) Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

2) For crust:
In a medium bowl beat butter with mixer for 30 seconds. Add sugar, lemon peel/juice, baking powder, vanilla, and salt. Beat until combined.  Add egg white, beat.  Beat in as much of the flour you can, and stir in the rest if necessary.

3) Press dough onto the bottom and up the sides of a 9-in round pan with a removable bottom. I use the pan that I make cheesecake in.  Line crust with foil. Bake crust for 6 minutes.  Remove the foil and bake for 6-7 more minutes until crust is lightly browned. Cool crust on a wire rack.

4) Meanwhile, for lemon cream, in a small bowl stir together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar and lemon peel/juice.  Fold in the yogurt. Spread in the bottom of the cooled crust. Top with berries, and you're done!  Hope you like it!

Nails I did today! Comment if you want step by step on how to do these, or want to know the colors I used :)

Here's another great summer time treat!  Reese's Smores:

All you need is one graham cracker, one marshmallow, and one resse's peanut butter cup.

I made my marshmallow in the microwave, so I can enjoy this treat without a campfire, but this is also a great idea to bring out during summer bonfire parties!

Let the Olympic Games begin!  Super excited for opening night! Definitely pumped for swimming, diving, synchro and more!
Hi! Welcome to my new blog! I thought I would start off by sharing a super yummy snack! There is no official name for it, but it includes; Graham crackers, peanut butter, banana, and the most yummiest of all, nutella!

1. Depending on how many you want to make, get one plain graham cracker, and spread onto the graham cracker, a layer of peanut butter. Next swirl some nutella on top of the layer of peanut butter depending on how much you like.

2.  Slice 1 banana into thin slices and stick on the graham cracker. Put it on a plate and enjoy!
